Humble Pie Beginnings
In 2004 I got a bright idea: I'd start a family and a business at the same time!
Having always had my own career and the ability to make ends meet I was mortified to have to ask my *then* husband for a weekly allowance (get over it!) Hindsight is 20/20.
Instead of sucking it up and having the conversation: "If I raise this family you are going to make sure I am comfortable and happy and In-style and not complain one iota about how *expensive* I am!!" I decided instead to earn my OWN money and take out a small business loan, create my own brand, manufacture my own product line, open a couple of retail stores, work weekends, holidays, and summers and not see the family I'd created. Smart huh?
That's why I'm still here.
I'm paying back the loans, learning from the mistakes, reacquainting myself with my children and mediating with my wasband. It's been an adventure. let.me.tell.you.
Here are the basics:
I was pregnant and had some time on my hands.
I was disgusted by the ugly car seat's on the market.
I wanted to be a do-gooder, damnit.
Little Bits by Monica Rodgers has been "covering" up the aesthetic mess of car seats since 2004. In the meantime I created a few of my own and have been "covering" those ever since too.

Because life is LONG and sometimes you get what you pay for and I can guarantee a few things:

2) Nobody makes them as well as we do.
